A 6-year program of 90 courses structured in 12 semesters and 500 academic credits, through which you will receive the necessary preparation for a successful performance in the USMLE® examination.
During these first two years, you will start with medical sciences such as morphology, physiology, nosology and therapeutics given in English. In this period, theory and practice come together in the lab, with highly-advanced technologies, that you will start using during the first semester.
In the third year, you'll begin your clinical training divided in sixteen weeks of class each semester. You will also have access to workshops for the development of cultural skills, training you to practice medicine in an international environment.
In the third and fourth years, you'll begin your clinical training having the option to develop your clinical training in over 40 hospitals in Mexico through the clinical affiliation of the The Universities Network with hospital centers all around countries in the US or some centers in Europe.
This is the internship year. A part of your program that is a mandatory year, essential for the medical student to integrate and consolidate the knowledge you acquired during the previous years of study. You can enrolled for your internship year in our affiliated hospitals in México, USA, or Europe.
You will have 6 months of supervised clinical practice in Internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics & gynecobstetrics and emergencies, and six months of supervised clinical practice in elective clinical
The sixth year is "Social Service". All students of any profession must perform social service in the terms of the mexican laws in order to obtain a degree. Corresponds to the final year of professional development of medical students in higher education institutions, assign to a urban or rural Primary Health Care Facility of the Mexican government.
After concluding the 6-year program, an official certificate of studies legalized and apostilled by the Mexican Government is awarded to students who pass all courses of the program and USMLE® examination STEP 1 and STEP 2 CK..

It is a series of standardized examinations required for medical doctors who intend to practice medicine in the United States.
The USMLE® assesses whether a medical graduate possesses the medical knowledge and clinical skills required to practice medicine safely and effectively in the USA.
The USMLE® is the gateway examination for becoming a licensed medical doctor in the United States.
International medical students or graduates seeking ECFMG Certification must submit an Application for ECFMG Certification through ECFMG’s Interactive Web Applications (IWA) platform. The application consists of an online application and the Certification of Identification Form (Form 186). To be eligible, applicants must confirm their identity and contact information and verify enrollment in or graduation from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools that meets ECFMG eligibility requirements.
The examination requirements for ECFMG Certification include passing USMLE® Step 1 and USMLE® Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK).
Assesses your understanding of and ability to apply important concepts of the basic sciences to the practice of medicine, with special emphasis on principles and mechanisms underlying health, disease, and modes of therapy. You will have to take USMLE® Step 1 at the end of your basic sciences formation. In order to advance to your clinical sciences formation, it is mandatory that you take and pass this examination within six months after finishing your basic formation.
Assesses your ability to apply medical knowledge, skills, and understanding of clinical science essential for the provision of patient care under supervision and includes emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Step 2 CK ensures that due attention is devoted to principles of clinical sciences and basic patient-centered skills that provide the foundation for the safe and competent practice of medicine under supervision.
You will have to take USMLE® STEP 2 CK at the end of your clinical formation (Internship) in the fifth year. In order to advance to your sixth year (Social Service), it is mandatory that you take and pass this examination within six months after finishing your Internship.
Assesses your ability to apply medical knowledge and understanding of biomedical and clinical science essential for the unsupervised practice of medicine, with emphasis on patient management in ambulatory settings. The USMLE® program recommends that, for STEP 3 eligibility, you should have completed, or be near completion of, at least one postgraduate training year in an accredited US graduate medical education program that meets state board licensing requirements. Is the final examination in the USMLE sequence leading to a license to practice medicine in the United States without supervision.
To become a medical specialist and obtain a medical license in the United States, an international medical graduate must first graduate from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and meet ECFMG eligibility requirements. The graduate must then pass the required USMLE examinations, including Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK), and obtain ECFMG Certification. After certification, the graduate must apply for and successfully match into an accredited U.S. residency program in the chosen specialty. Completion of the residency training, followed by passing Step 3 of the USMLE and meeting state medical board requirements, leads to eligibility for full medical licensure in the United States.

Year 1 – Basic Medical Sciences
Students begin with foundational medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and other core subjects that form the basis of medical training.
Year 2 – Advanced Basic Sciences
The focus continues on deeper medical sciences such as pathology and related subjects, fully preparing students for the transition into clinical training.
Year 3 – Entry into Clinical Sciences
Students move into clinical sciences and begin preparing for the USMLE Step 1 examination, which is required for progression toward U.S. medical licensure.
Year 4 – Advanced Clinical Training
This year involves hands-on hospital rotations and supervised clinical learning across key medical disciplines.
Year 5 – Clinical Internship
Students complete a supervised clinical internship across multiple medical specialties, gaining real-world patient care experience.
Year 6 – Final Requirements & Certification Pathway
The final year includes community medical service and preparation for USMLE Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK). Upon graduation and successful completion of USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, students become eligible for ECFMG Certification, which allows them to apply for U.S. residency programs.
